November & being thankful...

Well, since it's been about a month since my last post (naughty me!) figured I'd do a quick re-cap of what's been going on in Cl8n Camp.

Fall descended on us quite quickly this year. We had some lovely sunny days that quickly turned into quasi-winter storms with crazy wind and rain downpours. We used the sunny days to go for walks in the park or spending time as a family raking up the leaves in the yard...Lelia playing in the leaves more than raking. ;)

Lelia spent 3 nights with her Koko (my Mom) while Tre and I enjoyed a short Babymoon/Staycation. We dropped Lelia off on a Friday night and Tre picked her up late Monday morning. We slept in ('till 8:30!!!), ate some great food, went to see a movie (forgot how nice that is) and generally marveled at our extremely quiet house. Was it this quiet before Lelia? Really? Huh! We had a great time together and refueled a bit as we head into the home stretch of this pregnancy and waiting for Little Bug's debut. My Mom enjoyed Lelia A LOT but was sure feeling wiped out after Monkey's departure on Monday...don't blame her. Lelia is a crazy bundle of energy!

Ah...the best thing about Fall...LEAVES!!!

Tentative at first, Lelia soon found out she could toss leaves up in the air all over herself!

Thanksgiving was wonderfully low-key. We went over to my parent's house where my Grandparents and a family friend joined us. The 8 of us ate good food, visited and just enjoyed each other's company. I didn't take many photos as I was too busy cooking or eating! :)

She enjoyed having Grandpa pull her around in the Duplos wagon

Our Thanksgiving table and spread! YUM!

Monkey is doing great...can't believe she's already 16 months old. She's becoming more and more of a mimic these days and her muse of choice is her Papa. Tre tends to gesture a lot with his hands when he's talking and Lelia has taken to copying his gestures. Too funny!

She's still enjoying her Monday swim classes. We'll take a break for the Christmas/New Year but she'll start back up in early January! We're thankful she enjoys swimming so much and that we've found something that helps purge some of her boundless energy!

We've been trying to teach her about her new sibling's upcoming arrival. If you ask her "Where's Bug?" she'll point to my belly...although for awhile she would also point to EVERYONE'S belly. Hmm. But our sweet little girl also gives hugs and kisses to Bug/my belly. We're excited to introduce the two and watch them interact with each other!

Other than the normal day-to-day stuff and working, there's not a whole lot of exciting news to report. We're counting down the days until the new one arrives...trying to get our to-do list crossed off in time and get everything situated...famous last words, right!?!
